Former Chief Minister Giridhar Gamang, who recently resigned from the Congress, has rejected the invitation of party president Sonia Gandhi for talks with her. The party high command had invited Gamang and his son Sisir to Delhi on June 9 and 10. “Since my father has already resigned from the Congress, there is no chance of his return to the party again. In view of this, there is no point in having any talks with the party high command,” said Sisir Gamang on Friday. The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) had no information about the high command’s invitation to Giridhar Gamang. Meanwhile, speculation is rife over Gamang’s next move though there is a possibility of he and his son joining the BJP.
