Dharmendra dares BJD for fact-based debate

Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday dared the State Government to make its Central negligence issue based on facts and figures.

Addressing the BJP State executive meeting held at Sundargarh, Pradhan said even though the Narnedra Modi Government has provided all-time highest assistances to Odisha since Independence, the State Government has been accusing the Centre of negligence baselessly.

He called upon party leaders and workers to go to villages and inform about the assistance given to Odisha by the Modi Government so that the BJD, which is making baseless Central negligence issue, would be exposed before people.

Pradhan claimed that the present Central Government had, for the first time, provided Rs 50 crore for Navakalevar festival over infrastructural allocations.

He too pulled up the State Government for slamming the Union Government for rise in petrol and diesel prices. “The State Government is imposing 26 taxes on petrol and diesel, which is one of the highest such rates,” said Pradhan.

Union Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha would come to Odisha and review implementation of Jandhan and Mudra schemes.
