Housing and Urban Development Secretary G Mathivathanan has directed concerned officials to complete the Janibili pipeline project, which is meant to supply drinking water to Brahmpuar city by November this year.
Reviewing various ongoing works at the Brahmapur Municipal Corporation (BMC) office here on Wednesday, the Secretary asked the officials to complete land acquisition work as soon as possible and complete the project by November. Besides, he directed officials to complete installation of 12,900 lED lights as soon as possible.
Besides Janibili project, Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transmission (Amrut) and DUVA projects were also reviewed.
Among others, Principal Secretary (Amrut Yojana) PK Jha, Ganjam district Collector Premchandra Choudhury, DRDA PD Bijay Amrit Kulange, Sub-Collector Sidhartha Shankar Swain, BMC Commissioner Chakraborty Singh Rathore and PHD Executive Engineer Sitaram Panda and project Engiener PK Mallick were present.
