Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on his arrival in Jharsuguda district on Wednesday was presented with a 16-point memorandum by Jharsuguda MlA Naba Kishore Das.
Das, who is a Congress representative, welcomed Patnaik on his visit and sought his attention to 16 critical issues and demands of the district that require the State Government’s urgent intervention.
These include early completion of longstanding infrastructure projects like mega water supply project, road over bridge projects at Sarbahal and Chowkipara, early completion of Jharsuguda airport and bonus on sale of paddy to farmers.
Besides, Das also demanded release of crop insurance dues to farmers, facilitation of paddy procurement with ancillary arrangements and provision of cold storage, among others.
Das claimed that a response from the Chief Minister or his office is still awaited.
