A country boat carrying six fishermen and a driver sank in the Mahanadi river mouth near the Nehru Bungalow here while returning after fishing in the high seas on Sunday.
Another fishing boat following the country boat was, however, able to rescue the six fishermen of the capsized boat, but its driver Ela Rao, aged about 22 years, was missing.
The Paradip marine police was investigating the case and the search for the missing person was still on.
