Some BJD workers here locked up the main gate of Athagarh Block Office and drove out all the employees in order to force a cease work and create terror there.
As per the reports, they did it to pressurise the block authority to clear all their dues related with construction of several buildings.They had taken contract for those buildings but for some reasons their dues had not been cleared.The innocent employees were seen sitting idle outside the gate. The BDO also was seen absent and did not receive phone calls.Consequently, hundreds of people who had turned up to the office with several works returned home without getting them done.Meanwhile, the district Collector’s attention has been drawn to the incident.
