Though nine years have passed since the Brahmapur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) came into being and almost all sanctioned posts are filled up, negligence in implementation of plans and programmes as per Government rules have worried denizens a lot.
According to information, the BeMC has allotted cars for almost all officers, even for junior engineers, when diameter of the city is below 4 km. But due to non-implementation of Government guidelines, roads have remained narrow at most of the places. What has worsened the traffic system is that the BeMC has failed to regulate dumping of house0 debris. People are dumping construction debris on roadsides at their wish.
