Police said Kushagra, a Class VII student of Bhartiyam Vidhyapeeth, lived with his elder brother Harsith in a rented house in Kanti Nagar. On Wednesday evening, he went for a coaching class on his bicycle at about 4.45 pm with his aunt. The boy had reportedly told her he would reach home at 5.25 pm.

When he did not turn up to by 5.15 pm, his aunt and elder brother tried to contact him through his cell phone, but was found switched off. They immediately reached the coaching centre, but they were informed that Kushagra never reached the coaching centre.

Meanwhile, city police on Thursday registered a case of ‘missing person’ and have started searching with the help of cyber cell and crime branch.

Additional SP City Yusuf Qureshi said that the police have registered a case about Kushgra’s disappearance from Kanti Nagar. He said police had been searching for the boy but there was no clue so far.
