Sitar training workshop from may 18
Bhopal: A summer Sitar training workshop will be held at Ustad Alauddin Khan Sangeet Evam Kala Academy Bhopal to create awareness and interest among youths about classical music. The workshop will be held daily from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm from May 18 to June 18, 2015. Apart from preliminary and theoretical aspects of classical music, training will also be given in the workshop in finer points and technique of playing on sitar. The workshop will be conducted by noted sitarist Neera Sharma. She had given sitar performances at prestigious musical festivals in India as well as Germany and America. She worked as guest professor for one year at Maharishi international University in Fairfield-Iowa. Admission in workshop is free. Interested persons can get themselves registered at Academy’s office from 11 am to 5 pm.
Anganwadi building inaugurateD at vallabh ngr
Bhopal: Higher and Technical Education Minister Umashankar Gupta inaugurated Anganwadi building at Vallabh Nagar here on Saturday. Gupta said that women and children of nearby areas will be facilitated with opening of the centre. He directed to open the centre regularly and extend benefit of Government’s schemes to children. Gupta announced to take care of one malnourished child himself. He distributed certificates to the girls who have undergone training of judo-karate. local public representatives were present on the occasion.
Second e-auction of sand mines on may 14
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation is e-auctioning sand mines. Sand mines measuring 4,443.024 hectares involving 284 groups in 16 districts will be auctioned in four phases. Their reserved price is `648.14 crore. Auction of 73 groups in 16 districts was made in the first phase on May 8. In it, 142 bidders in 49 groups participated. Bids for 37 groups were sanctioned. Bids for remaining 12 groups will be invited again. Revenue of `277.36 crore was received in the auction against reserve price `85.91 crore of sanctioned 37 groups, which is `191.45 crore more. E-auction for second phase will be held on May 14, third phase May 21 and fourth phase on May 28, 29 and 30.
