 MSC Biofluid Mechanics

The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, is inviting applications for the newly launched course MSc Biofluid Mechanics starting in September 2017. Biofluid Mechanics applies engineering, mathematical and physical principles of fluids to solve complex and multifaceted problems, primarily in biology and medicine, but also in aerospace and robotics. This one-year course covers a wide range of multi-disciplinary training on the kinematics and dynamics of fluids related to biological systems, medical science, cardiovascular devices, numerical modelling and computational fluid dynamics. The course is taught by the Department of Biomedical Engineering, with input from other departments across the Faculty of Engineering and the wider University.

Students will be supported throughout the course by a strong team of academics with global connections and will benefit from unique training and innovative teaching & learning environment.

Eligibility: A first or second-class honours degree in engineering, physical science, or mathematics. English language minimum score of IElTS 6.5 (with no component below 5.5).

Fee: £19,100 for international students.

Scholarship:  £2,700 scholarships towards course tuition fees are available for an MSc programme. Students must achieve a minimum of a 2:1 (or equivalent) in their undergraduate degree to be considered. For further information, contact asimina.kazakidi @strath.ac.uk.
