Work on your mind-frame

Work on your mind-frame

An avid reader of this column has made a request to write on why many people keen to get married fail to find a suitable partner for long. For someone, having crossed the 40s, and yet not able to find a match, the question is obvious.

It is a tricky question to answer. For, every individual is unique, and so the reasons would vary. But certain basic factors pertaining to the issue deserve attention. One of the counts on which the aspirant or his/her parents get misled is because of mistaken perception about the premise on which the institution of marriage stands. Remember, male and female are born different, not simply biologically, but also in terms of temperaments, emotional frame, and mindset. In this scheme of things, the two are expected to complement and supplement each other’s voids to make a wholesome life. Obviously then, marital compatibility could be ensured if the virtues of the partners could make up for each other’s limitations.

These days, the irony, however, is that we are looking for someone who would be on similar wavelength, which is never possible. For, nobody could be ever born a perfect, nor could two persons be similar. The paradox is that we often remain stuck to our self-defined parameters, not prepared to compromise even on one count. In the process, many positives in a person get ignored. Remember, with every other person being born different, the only way to ensure smooth sail of life is to dwell more on each other’s positives than a few individual limitations.

Next comes the approach to the search process; here one’s attitude counts the most. A case study could help explain this better. In the questioner’s chart, the Sun is placed exactly opposite its planet of limitation, Saturn. It points to the seeds of negativity firmly embedded in deep realm of the person’s mind. This has brought in a sense of fear and uncertainty for future. If you get stuck to the negatives, the positives would go unnoticed. It becomes difficult for such people to make up their mind.

Mind-indicator, Moon, incidentally also the lagna lord identified with a person’s basic fabric of making, is placed in adverse formation with intelligence-signifying Mercury, which is conjunct mischievous Neptune. The implication is that the person would be high-strung, indecisive and resentful of others. The person would also be imaginative, but self-deceptive, and carrying a lot of inner confusions. The person would also be inherently an escapist, and may often fail to figure out the truth underlying a seeming reality.

The lagna sub-lord Mars, being placed in the fourth house makes the person headstrong and temperamental. Again, Mars occupies the nakshatra owned by wisdom-oriented Jupiter occupying its own sign. What adds to the person’s woes is that Jupiter is conjunct restive Rahu, and placed adverse to intellectually-ordained Uranus as well as Mercury. That, in the first place, brings in a perfectionist attitude stuck to self-defined beliefs. Second, the person would lack clarity in vision and thought, being responsible for fuzzy thinking and vacillating tendency. With such a clouded vision, the result becomes obvious.

To sum up, if there are indications for an unusual delay or even denial of marriage in a person’s charts, the reasons thereof are also well-spelt. The person’s waiting will soon get over, if one identifies and acknowledges the resident infirmities, and then consciously works upon them by submitting to guided-meditation. Remember, you are endowed with the power of free will, which if invoked and rightfully applied, carries the potential to relieve you of most of the problems.
