Why Sachin is so successful

Published on:

Sachin, you have played a long innings in cricket and made the nation proud through your unparalleled performances. You have earned enough to your credit through your exemplary feats. Deservedly so, now that you turn 40, the nation prays for your long inning in this world as well. How long you keep playing cricket is your exclusive prerogative. But, another role now awaits you, to be there for long to guide, enthuse and lead India’s youth towards greater heights.

There is no doubt that Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is a born genius as would appear from the inherent talent that he exhibited since he was still in his school.  What is, however, even more striking is that he remained firm through all the lows and highs he went through. And, as would happen to any ordinary mortal, he also carried certain weaknesses together with all his talents that took him through intermittent lows amidst all his exemplary performances. On such occasions, he had to brave a volley of uncouth criticisms, at times even calling for his retirement. But every time he met his low, unruffled, he could rise above his limitations and reboot himself to reaffirm his performance. Another beauty of the man is that he remained level-headed even when he used to be at his all-time high performances. And that makes him a legend. The youth need to imbibe this very spirit, if they wish to be an achiever by themselves in their respective fields, and through their collective efforts lead the nation to glory.

An imprint of what Sachin stands for is very much in evidence in his astrological chart. The presence or Uranus in Sachin’s lagna needs to be marked. Uranus, if duly supported by other planets, has the potential to make someone great in his/her respective fields. It is, therefore, no sheer coincidence that Uranus finds presence in the lagna signs of even Sunil Gavaskar and Virender Sehwag. But at the same time, it needs to be acknowledged that every individual is born unique, and that is what accounts for the difference in their levels of performance, despite all the commonality in them. Sachin’s Uranus is well-disposed towards exalted Mars in his fifth house marked with sporting performance, and also karmic Saturn in his destiny signifying ninth house. That accounts for his sporting talent, all his fire-power and orderly use of his energies, his practical sense, self-reliance and fearlessness. That also brings in the power of concentration, and makes him ambitious and inventive. Mars, well disposed off towards Saturn, grants him strong leadership abilities with fantastic endurance power; this makes him thorough in his work, and good at every minor detail.

let us now look at his mind-power. The mind-indicator Moon occupies the sign Sagittarius in the nakshatra owned by exalted Sun. It will not be out of place to mention here that symbolically, the sign Sagittarius is represented by the symbol: “The body of a horse having a human head and with a bow and arrow at the back.” The implication is that one would be endowed with the energy as that of a horse, mind of a fully developed human being enjoying an intuitive sense that qualifies him to strike the bull even blindfolded. Intelligence-signifying Mercury, though debilitated, enjoys neecha bhanga raja yoga, which is well-ordained to wisdom-oriented Jupiter. That makes him optimistic, and also brings in clarity in vision and thought. Mercury, also placed favourably to Saturn, grants him an orderly mind that makes him methodical — the one qualified to organise things in great detail. Neptune, favourably placed to Jupiter and Mercury, accounts for his refined conduct, strong humane sense, and makes him a visionary, sympathetic and compassionate.

It’s time to look at some of his negatives having the potential to cloud his talent. Mercury, placed adverse to Rahu, could have made him worrisome. Moon, placed adverse to Uranus, could have brought in self-doubt. The Sun, placed adverse to Jupiter, brings in the tendency of a swaggering ego. The Sun, again placed adverse to Saturn, could bring in sense of fear. Uranus, placed adverse to Neptune, could make him oversensitive and nervous. He could overcome these negatives through his conscious efforts, which the younger generation needs to make a note of.
