Wake up to the nation's cause

Wake up to the nation's cause
Published on:

It is transition time for us, as with closure of 2015 we are to walk into the New Year in a couple of days. People have already gone into fun mode, as if entering the New Year with a happy note, the year ahead may go well.

Nature, which holds the key to life cycle on earth, does not offer any specific referral around this point of time that would trigger any significant transition. It has its own markers, pointing to major twists and turns in its energy dynamics that carries the potential to influence our life cycle.

Acknowledging man’s interrelation with nature, India’s age old calendar system is set in correspondence with periodic motion of planetary bodies. A look into its run, therefore, could offer a generalised view of how future would unfold — in terms of challenges ahead and likelihood of opportunities. Accordingly, the nation and the people could gear up to negotiate the callings of emerging time with ease and comfort. This is not to suggest that fresh milestones cannot be framed. So there is nothing wrong in following the world trend. And since there remains continuum all through the run of time, the energy dynamics of any moment would reveal its future implications.

Based on nature driven pointers, the events that went past were by and large discussed in the opening issue of the year. This was about factors beyond our control. But more important is how intelligently we attended to them. For, applying our indwelling empowerment tools, we could not only intelligently deal with the challenges ahead, but also innovate, ways and means to add quality and value to life.

In the above light, it is important to review what legacy we are carrying forward. For, human life cycle is bound by a cause-effect chain, whereby every effect has to have a cause behind, and the effect in turn, would serve as the cause for future course of action to follow. The question now is: Can artificially created fun moment during New Year celebrations lay down the ground for a happy life aheadIJ

Remember, life has to be run in real terms that take care of our existential needs individually and collectively, and should cover all our material, mental, and emotional concerns. In this light let us see what sort of a premise we have set for the coming year.

The year has been full of challenges.  Food grains prices sky rocketed, making common people’s life miserable. People are asking vexing questions in public about the promises that the present Government made while seeking vote. Not that the Government alone has to be blamed. But like all previous Governments, the present incumbents too failed to remain alert enough to take pre-emptive measures well in time.

Pollution has taken a toll on our health in a big way. And the city Government, instead of exploring sustainable long term solution, are trying to impose their half baked ideas that may incapacitate a large number of people, particularly the old and handicapped.

True to the implication of Mars and Saturn playing spoil sport, we have been victim of radical onslaught and terrorist strike. In fact, security threats no longer deserve specific mention. For, misadventure by misguided groups, have almost become a permanent feature of the global life, India bearing its brunt for quite long.

Again Mars crossing path with Jupiter in the referral charts, wilful efforts were made for communal polarisation. leave aside the unfortunate killing of innocents in the name of religion. What compounded the problem further was that those who matter handled the issue most insensibly.

Following communal upsurge began a long drawn debate on growing intolerance, as would the Sun ill-disposed off to Uranus imply. And true to its import, the debate went really wild when a number of award winning public figures returned their awards in protest. What compounded the matter even more is that some of those close to the power block instead of exercising patience and prudence loud mouthed, literally teasing the intellectual fraternity.

Polity again, for above reasons, seems to have nosedived to its bottom-most low. The language in use by present day politicians is simply unbelievable. Not to blame any particular political party, what NDA did when in opposition, the same trend is being repeated by the present opposition. Consequently, Parliament has become almost dysfunctional. Does anybody care for the nation and its peopleIJ How long shall we bear with our politicians escaping their obligationsIJ It is a wakeup call for all conscientious people.
