It came as a pleasant surprise to see an established journalist coming up with a positive note on astrology, and that too featuring on the edit page of a popular English journal. For otherwise, brickbats by self-acclaimed rationalists or those claiming allegiance to science have been a common feature.
Possibly, an astrologer’s poetic prediction, expecting serious efforts towards world peace during the next one year, encouraged him for his complimentary note on astrology. I wish; hope said astrologer has raised comes true. After all, the world looks the way we perceive it, which grants him with the privilege to take his stand.
But what I know of for certain that world peace cannot be secured through an individual’s wishful speculation. The disparate forces calling shots all across have to reach such a pass when their own existence would be at stake, that they will be forced for a rethink. Evidently, when left with no choice, they may soften their stand, allowing the ruling elites work out ways and means to enforce world peace. So it happened post the first and second world wars. Even that did not let people live in peace for long.
In this context, the transit of Uranus in the sign Aries on June 23rd, coinciding with Brexit vote, deserves special attention. For, the event is marked with the reversal of globalisation trend that began in late twentieth century. This particular emotive voting trend, marked with narrowing down of vision, is going to make a dent on collective consciousness of people. That is sure to create fresh ground for conflict of interests amongst competing nations. It may be interesting to note here that the signifying zodiac sign for England happens to be Aries. So, it’s no coincidence that United Kingdom opted out of European Union.
Incidentally, Uranus was transiting Aries sign during the Second World War. During the First World War, it transited Capricorn sign, a quadrant placement (in Kendra) with reference to Aries. It is pertinent to note here that volatile Uranus, together with Saturn, is perceived as co-ruler of the sign Aquarius, and hence expected to carry latter’s traits. This, transiting Aries sign owned by Mars, which happens to be Saturn’s natural foe, points to likelihood of turbulence all across. Uranus stays in a zodiac sign for seven years. That calls for powers of the world to be on full alert and watch out the expected turn of events during this period.
Already a good part of the world is in the grip of continued war. And you never know which place in the world the terrorists are going to strike at tomorrow. For, terrorism seems to have spread its wings almost all across. As on date, when Mars, and its dire enemy Saturn, are close by in a Mars owned sign Scorpio, calls for a serious security concern all across, India not spared. Kashmir is already boiling for almost a month now. lot of internal strife too is already in evidence, on caste and sectarian lines. Evidently, therefore, those at the helm of affairs cannot afford complacence.
I agree with Jug Suraiya that heavenly bodies at distance by themselves cannot shape our lives through some magical action. It is actually internal powers of mind that works. But let me correct him that though the planetary bodies are at a distance, they are always in immediate and intimate connect with us, as remains the vision of modern physics. So, they are capable of triggering our mind.
Remember, planets are not to be seen simply as physical objects moving in the cosmos just carrying their gravitational influence. In fact, the cosmic bodies are marked with energy streams passing through a region, with a particular planet at the centre, each exhibiting a particular characteristic feature. And distance won’t shun these energies from us.
looking at things in terms of quantum physics, this world is said to be an inseparable web of energy patterns, where no one component has a reality independent of the entirety. Included in that entirety is the observer. It is this very inalienable connect between energy players of nature playing from the front with us, which sets the premise of astrology. Accordingly, the energy mapping of the heaven at the time of one’s birth relates to the karmic imprints that one carries over from the past, which points to individual specific inherent mind-traits. What is imprinted within cannot be straight away read. But it’s connect and thereby correspondence with what moves out in open can spell out what lies in store.
