We all begin life with high hopes and aspirations, and carrying the spirit as if nothing would be beyond reach. Accordingly, everybody sets one’s dream destination and pursues it passionately. Evidently, the aspiring mind would put in one’s best, of course by one’s self-assumed standard. But not everybody’s dream come true. Yet, it is worth dreaming. For, then you have something to look forward that keeps you motivated to work towards, and but for which there would be no growth.
But when one fails to make it to one’s dream destination, it becomes very difficult to bear with. The feel of failure and the guilt thereof keeps revolving in the mind. Continued unnecessary brooding and contemplation that follows, clutters one’s mind so much over a period of time that one is not left with the mind-space necessary to process thoughts sensibly. One thus loses sense of objectivity and direction. Having lost one’s peace of mind thus, faculty of discriminate intelligence takes a backseat, and one begins conducting unmindfully on instinctive judgment, and with obvious consequences.
Experience suggests that seldom does a person try to figure out one’s own infirmities that would be playing spoilsport with aspirational urges. The failed person would rather try to put the blame on external factors, or at the best find refuge in destiny. For, one’s ego does not allow taking the blame on oneself. True, external factors would not let you have easy way through to your dream destination. For, their conflicting interests would pose challenges.
In apparent terms, however, life still carries on. For, the momentum of some positive ground one would have created beforehand keeps pulling through. But within one’s mind, sense of unease arising out of failure persists, which keeps alive the egotistical urge to prove one’s worth on the very first congenial occasion available. They may still not care to figure out whether the dream destination set forth was worth it, and whether they had the wherewithal to make it come true. As a consequence, they keep misdirecting their energies towards unachievable ends, and which does not allow doing justice to the task already in hand either.
The question now is: What is the way forward thenIJ It is pertinent to note here that the nature of dreams, are sourced to two factors: Imprints of unfulfilled desires carried over from the past; and external tempting influences. But life just can’t move on fanciful ideas to one’s asking. It has to be lived in real terms on practical grounds. That calls for a reality check, whether one is armed with the wherewithal necessary to make it to the desired destination. Also, whether time is ripe for it, in the sense that one is groomed enough to carry forward the task in hand in right earnest, and intelligently contend with the challenges coming in the way.
Remember, you never fail in life just because your destiny would be so scripted. You become due for failure if due diligence is not done before taking the final call. Or, when one fails to strive sufficiently to unfold one’s inlaid potential in full, and hone it well, vital to qualitative efforts.
A case in point is that of a very ambitious person who has so far not been able to make a mark for himself despite his dramatic talents. The Sun and Mercury, both firmly established in the lagna and favourably aligned to intellectually ordained Uranus needs to be marked. It speaks of a person armed with extraordinary intelligence with inventive and innovative mind. That qualifies him to be having valuable intuitive insights and coming up with out of box ideas of significance. Connection of 10th house to the third house brings in entrepreneurial urges.
But his inlaid negatives have not allowed him to carry forward his urges so far. His worrying mind makes him stuck to the run of the mill assignment, out of fear of inviting financial insecurity if his entrepreneurial initiative fails to click. Inherently an escapist, he keeps putting off initiatives for later days, and is not keen to toil enough either. All these come out of Saturn conjunct Ketu, read together with Moon conjunct Rahu, and also ill-disposed to Neptune.
But his indwelling urges keep hounding him from time to time, often prompting him to give up his assignment and take fresh initiative. But fails to act, leading to continued unease. Should he try to address his frailties, he will be able to put his inlaid talents to full use.
