All that happens out in open is a projection of mind. For, every action first originates in mind. Our desire trends make us ideate and visualise, which in turn, excites corresponding thoughts. When the thoughts gravitate, following working in the laboratory of mind, they get translated into action. All thoughts do not translate into action. The weaker ones die out. But every action on our part is necessarily preceded by a thought. Also, the way we perceive and comprehend external situation, is how we respond to them.

The question now is: What defines the nature of our thoughtsIJ That calls for a look into the unique character of individual’s frame of mind, and which naturally varies from person-to-person. For, one’s mental orientation is subject to karmic carryover from the past — memory imprints of our own doings and undoings in the past. Since each being goes through varying experiences in one’s own right, accordingly the impressions thereof have to be unique.
It may not be out of place to mention here that all our doings in the past were the result of our own choice. Remember, when there is a choice option in hand, which remains the exclusive privilege available with human beings, the probability of its use and misuse would be equal. But there is no free lunch in this world. If there is freedom to make choices, one has to be prepared to bear with the consequences of the choices we make. That sets the terms of our karmic cycle, and thereby our destiny indications. And that runs in succession till their closure, be it in the ongoing or successive life in course of life-death-rebirth cycle.
It is difficult to figure out what exactly we did in the past, particularly the previous life. The inherent thought-trends could, however, be watched. Here again, exploiting our choice option, one could make necessary amends. To make that possible, we are also armed with the faculty of discriminate intelligence, intrinsic to which is sense of dispassion. Applying this privilege, one could filter off the undesirables by not allowing them the necessary ground. But there is a catch, the faculty of discriminate intelligence does not act spontaneously, it needs to be consciously invoked. And which requires being on full alert all the time. The paradox, however, is that caught up in the usual mills of life, we often lose our sense of alert, and get carried away by usual the flow of life, and with obvious consequences.
It, therefore, becomes incumbent upon us to explore our own unique nature and make necessary amends. And we are very much empowered to self-reflect and get to know our vulnerabilities and potentials. But often, our ego stands in the way. It tempts you to take things at its face value, and not let you explore the underlying cause seeded within the inner realm of mind. Here comes the role of astrology as a diagnostic tool to explore one’s unique character.
