Holistic approach ensures success

Holistic approach ensures success

A brilliant young guy pursuing engineering abroad, picked up an innovative idea. He, a young man in hurry, with his mind pacing at digital speed, as remains the case with most of the youths these days, wished to rush through with his idea. So, leaving his course half way through, he tried to get into an entrepreneurial venture to carry forward his idea. But he did not care to apply proper forethought to figure out the logistics involved in translating his idea into action.

So, not being properly geared up for carrying forward his idea to its logical end, he got stuck half way, and now finds himself at crossroads. What to talk of pursuing his idea further, he does not know how to move ahead in life. He has not finished his course to seek a proper job and his entrepreneurial venture is yet to take off. And as of now, even his survival in a foreign land has become questionable. He had thought that he will get necessary support to his asking. His parents are not in a position to provide the necessary fund, and corporate or Government sponsorship has its own measure which takes time.

The guy failed to visualise his concept in holistic terms, and his fractioned vision got him stuck to the expected fruits of his ambitious idea. Also, it made him rush through his idea and with obvious consequences. In earlier times in the Guru-disciple tradition, before imparting learning lessons, the disciples were put through a process to free them of the limitations of mind.  Purposely so as to expand their scope of vision, sharpen their intellect, and put their faculty of discriminate intelligence into active mode.

Following consecration of mind, the pupils, in the first place were able to absorb true import of their lessons. Second, they were well geared up to conceptualise their ideas if any in holistic terms. Accordingly, they would make right choices, articulate their action plan intelligently, and then time them well. That enabled them to carry forward the task in hand to its logical end with ease and comfort.  Evidently, that makes probability of success higher.

The paradox, however, is that in the modern education system, there remains no provision for consecration of mind. One is just made to pursue a particular knowledge field. What, however, is more important is that at the end of the day, it is the human factor that has to take forward to its logical end, the knowledge earned or any idea thereto. Whether we carry it forward rightfully or in a misguided way depends upon how orderly our minds function. That makes it incumbent upon us to figure out indwelling limitations of our mind and address them, so as to lay the ground needed for our inlaid potential steer through our objective rightfully.

It’s time now to look at what made the guy concerned flounder. Exalted Jupiter in the 3rd house identified with mental orientation, speaks of a well-oriented fertile mind keen about acquiring wisdom. The Sun conjunct Mercury in an airy sign speaks of an intelligent guy with a scientific orientation, armed with good memory. The two, beautifully aligned to intellectually ordained Uranus and psychic Neptune, speaks of a visionary with dramatic talents. He would be having an innovative and inventive mind, with a strong intuitive sense. That speaks of someone capable of having out of box insights of great significance. Added to that is Karmic Saturn occupying Jupiter owned sign Sagittarius, which again speaks of a strong intuitive mind. All put together qualifies him to carry research work of significance.

The positives as discussed above, however, get compromised by his inlaid negatives, which restricts his scope of vision. Mars occupies his lagna sign, which being ill-disposed of to erratic Rahu makes him headstrong, who may unmindfully misdirect his energies.  Jupiter locked in adverse formation to the Sun speaks of his preconditioned mind having swaggering ego, out of touch with ground reality. Also, it does not let him look at his fault lines. Moon, ill-disposed off to Uranus as well as Neptune makes him stuck to his self-delusions, which also accounts for his mercurial temperament. Jupiter adversely placed to Mercury speaks of his impatience. Uranus conjunct Neptune speaks of a restless mind. All these do not let him look at issues in hand holistically, and the result is there to see. Should he work upon his indwelling frailties, I am sure he will be able to make a mark for himself.
