Foreseeing natural disaster

Published on:

Nature’s fury in Uttarakhand has shocked the nation, throwing a big challenge before the Government to mobilise rescue operations at such a short notice. The massive flash flood following cloudburst caught a large mass of pilgrims unawares, putting them to untold distress and causing the death of a large number of people.

It is a known fact that nature’s fury is beyond anybody’s control. But if there is any mode of foreseeing such devastating events, many precious lives can be saved. As per the meteorological department’s statement, it can hint at probable weather patterns beforehand, and can inform 48 hours in advance in terms of specifics. But, in reality, it has no mechanism to foresee how devastating the weather threat would prove. The least of all it is expected to predict cloudburst, which knows no bounds. Astrology has a probable answer to such questions, if the implications of annular eclipses are paid due attention.

In this connection it will be interesting to note that astrology as a discipline evolved in course of exploring usual weather trends, vital to agrarian economy. Our ancient masters could establish correspondence between varying dynamics of nature-driven energies and the probable weather cycle. Through a reading of inter-placement of planets, all in incessant motion at their respective speeds, they could visualise the probable weather patterns so as to plan their crop cycle and be in preparedness for natural calamities, if there is any. In the process, the implications of annular eclipses over future course of events in general terms could also be understood. Based on those clues, we could foresee what is due to us in the months following eclipses.

So far as the present calamity is concerned, a look at the astrological chart for the eclipse that occurred in the early hours of April 26 deserves attention. Eclipse took place on the 4th-10th axis, with an unseemly cluster of Mars, Sun, Venus, Ketu in the 4th house pointing to bad omen for the common masses in the north. For in the first place, 4th house was identified with common masses, and in terms of direction it signified the north. Second, the Sun happens to be lord of death signifying 8th house. And cluster of planets point to massive deaths. At full Moon time, for which the chart is drawn, Capricorn, the natural signifying sign for India was rising, which pointed to the general state of the nation. lord of the lagna, Saturn, was in its exaltation sign in the 10th house together with Moon, the signifier of the masses, and demonic Rahu. Presence of Rahu pointed to big volume. Saturn’s opposition to its dire enemies — the Mars and the Sun — played the major devil. Now, why did the cloud burstIJ Saturn occupied an airy sign marked with all gaseous formation including cloud. It was excited by fiery Mars in full strength to cause the cloud burst. It cannot be a sheer coincidence that the dynamics of nature-driven energies at the time of the eclipse preceding the tsunami in 2004 had lot of similarity with the eclipse of April 26.

The intent of the present write-up is not to claim the worthiness of astrology through backward calculation. It is advisory in the sense that if this discipline is explored without any prejudice, it could help develop a mechanism to foresee such eventualities in advance with a fair amount of precision. But then a detailed research based on past data becomes imperative. Sometime in the past KN Rao, who meticulously researched weather forecasting, did try to seek association of meteorology department for an organised study, but in vain. I am sure that collaboration of modern science and the ancient discipline of astrology would be able to offer us definitive clue. We shall then be able to save valuable lives.
