Picking up threads from the previous issue, let me add that going by perception of modern physics, particles having common root remain in intimate and immediate connect, no matter how distant they be. And all existences in this universe, live or inert, up above in the cosmos or on earth are nothing but manifestation of nature driven energies. In fact, modern science and Indian philosophy agree on one count that nature driven energy orchestra, which holds the key to all existences, are all rooted in a singularity – the primordial source. This forms the ground for all existences on earth being in connect with planetary bodies doing their rounds in the cosmos.
True to the above perception, even a being apparently with a solid body-frame, when seen at subtle level, is nothing but an inseparable web of vibrating energy patterns. The mind and intellect are again energy structures at a different level. Even thoughts playing within our minds are again energy. It, thus, implies that each being would be marked with an energy-construct.
Now, as already explained in the previous issue, the planetary bodies moving in the cosmos are marked with energy streams doing their rounds in nature. Evidently, therefore, because of interconnect between the planetary bodies and a being, any variation in nature’s energy dynamics, its echoes will be carried over to the energy-construct of a being. And shall have related bearing in terms of one’s performing-self.
To measure the variation in energy-dynamics of nature, comes into play the role of time. It may be pertinent to note here that time, in terms of Indian calendar system, reflects upon the varying dynamics of nature’s energy orchestra. For, all units of time, both in micro and macro scales, are primarily scaled to the periodic motion of the Sun and Moon. Remember, the planetary bodies are continuously on their run at their respective speeds. Seen with reference to the earth, which itself moves at a great speed, the energy dynamics of nature at a particular moment would be quite at variance with the next.
So, the energy mapping of the heaven at a particular moment serves as a marker of unique energy-construct of a being born at that particular point of time. This reflects upon the Karmic imprints carried over from the past, which defines the inherent mind-traits of a being. Here again, energy-stream marked with a particular planetary body, carries specific characteristic feature, each marked with a specific functional aspects of a being.
For instance, the Sun reflects upon the overall health and confidence level of a being. Moon relates to general state of mind. Mercury serves as pointer to intelligence, communication and level of focus. Mars stands for fire and level of one’s efforts. Venus speaks of one’s emotional trends, as also how refined one’s demeanour is. Jupiter is identified with wisdom and virtue. Saturn is the hard task master, and also reflects upon the limitations of mind. The interrelation of planetary placement in an astrological chart reflects with a fair amount of precision the individual specific personality-traits.
To sum up, a reading of an astrological chart would reflect upon the potentials and vulnerabilities of a being. Supposing, if the Sun be ill-disposed off to Saturn, would imply being low in confidence, having fragile health, and carrying a sense of unfounded fear and insecurity. Moon when placed adverse to Saturn will speak of a pessimist character, suspicious by nature, and carrying self-doubts. Mars, in adverse placement to Mercury will speak of a restless mind lacking in focus. Mars or the Sun crossing path with Jupiter will speak loud of swaggering ego. Venus ill-disposed to either of the luminaries may speak of volatile emotionality. This way, the mind-trends of a being could be figured out with a fair amount of precision.
Remember, human beings are endowed with the power of freewill, which enjoins upon them with the privilege to guide their actions by choice and discrimination. Exercising this privilege, one could identify one’s inherent frailties, and make necessary corrections. Also, one could identify one’s inlaid potential, hone them well, and even improve upon further, to augment one’s creative abilities. So, this discipline could serve as a very potent diagnostic tool directed towards human resource building.
To sum up, this discipline has a sound rationale with great utility value. If rightfully used, it could serve as a very effective self-empowerment tool. So, it does not simply have a psychological perspective as Jug Suraiya avers.
