Youth Congress protests with several issues including exam irregularities

Saturday, 31 August 2024 | Staff Reporter | BHOPAL

Massive gathering by the Youth Congress to protest against exam irregularities, paper leak, nursing scam, unemployment and inflation was witnessed at  Roshanpura intersection on Friday.

Along with Congress workers, State Congress President Jitu Patwari also climbed the barricade. Police used water cannons to stop the protesters.

Jitu Patwari fell from the barricade due to water pressure. Some workers also got injured. Police also fired tear gas on the workers. After this, the police arrested the workers and took them away in buses.

Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari said, this government is not the government of Mohan Yadav and BJP but the government of mafias.

Mitendra Darshan Singh said, Youth Congress had started the 'Kya Hua Tera Vaada' campaign two months ago. In this, about four and a half lakh youth have written postcards and told their problems. Today these postcards were going to be handed over to CM Dr. Mohan Yadav. This is the fourth big demonstration of Congress in the last eight days.

State Congress President Jitu Patwari said that the workers will fight for caste census till their last breath. Until the government does not give MSP to the farmers, the price of paddy and soybean and 2.5 lakh jobs, the fight to protect the constitution will be fought till the last drop of blood. Sisters and Dalits are being tortured in this government. This is a government of the mafia.

Priyanka Patel, who came from Gujarat to join the protest, said that we were protesting peacefully. Police fired water cannons. Tear gas shells were fired. Many colleagues got injured. The brutality happening with the youth is wrong. The government will have to answer for this. We were raising the issues of the youth and their rights.

Youth Congress National President Srinivas BV said that we are demanding employment, jobs for the youth, 20 exams were conducted in the last five years. Appointments were given to 30000 people. Not a single one has joined till now. The government is cane-charging the protestors.

Congress MLA from Harda RK Dogne said that we had a meeting. After this we were going towards CM House in a peaceful manner. We were stopped before the barricade. Water cannon was fired. Tear gas was released.

The workers were pushed and chased away. This is unfortunate. We were going with the demands of the public. The government should listen. The public has legitimate demands. Farmers are not getting support prices. The youth is upset. We wanted to put the matter before the government in a peaceful manner. Some workers were injured in the stampede. The government should solve the problem of the people.

The government of Madhya Pradesh runs from Delhi. The Chief Minister here is busy taking liquor contracts.

Jitu Patwari said, there is not a single minister in the Mohan government who works without brokerage. About 100 brokers are roaming in Bhopal-Indore, who are getting the land use changed, 3 people of a Dalit family were killed in Sagar while a Dalit was beaten in Katni.

If a house was demolished in Chhatarpur for pelting stones at the police, then a bulldozer should be run on the house of the TI of Katni as well. We have lodged an FIR against that TI in Katni.

Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari said, this government is not the government of Mohan Yadav and BJP, it is the government of mafias. Two days ago, the Chief Minister had said that if you want to live in India, you will have to say Ram Krishna. Mohan Yadav ji, a young colleague of Congress challenges you that if you want to remain the Chief Minister, then you should  have to stop taking loans, conduct caste census has to be done, atrocities against Dalits have to be stopped, price of Soyabean has to be increased to Rs 6000 , 2.5 lakh jobs have to be provided and hatred towards Baba Saheb Ambedkar's constitution has to be stopped.

Deputy Leader of Opposition Hemant Katare attacked Minister Vishwas Sarang in the nursing scam case. Katare said, Vishwas' name should be changed to Vishwas Sarang. All the evidence in the nursing scam is against Sarang. He should be dismissed from the cabinet.

MLA Arif Masood said from the stage, our leader Rahul Gandhi is fighting to save the Constitution. Remember that the leader of Youth Congress is not for sale. Those who were for sale have gone. The workers of Youth Congress will always be with Rahul Gandhi.
