In the 24-year tenure of the Naveen Patnaik Government the youths of Odisha are neglected, tortured and looted. The government doesn’t have any special or appropriate scheme to provide employment to the youths, alleged the Youth Congress here on Wednesday.
The government, which had promised to provide 2 lakh jobs every year, should have provided 48 lakhs jobs till now as per its assurance. But unfortunately, more than 2 .226 lakh government jobs are lying vacant. Even many youths of the Chief Minister home district Ganjam are migrating to Surat in search of employment. Whatever industries coming up using the natural resources of the State are not providing employment to local youths, said Youth Congress State president Ranjit Patra.
The BJD Government has failed in every sector, be it health, education or maintaining law and order. Besides, the government is neck deep in corruption. Forty per cent commission is being taken in government schemes. There are multiple scams from mining to chit fund. So, in a bid to overthrow the anti-people government, the Youth Congress would gherao the Naveen Niwas on March 1 with the slogan ‘Naveen Hatao, Odisha Banchao,’ Patra said.
