General Manager of West Central Railway, Shobhana Bandopadhyaya inspected the footplate of Jabalpur-Rani Kamalapati railway section from Rewa-Rani Kamalapati Vande Bharat train, on Friday.

Besides, various stations, level crossings and bridges located on this section, she also inspected all the safety equipment of Vande Bharat train and thoroughly inspected the passenger facilities and catering available and also interacted with the passengers traveling.On Thursday, 29th August 2024, General Manager Smt. Shobhana Bandopadhyay along with the chief officers and senior officers of WCR headquarters inspected the stations, railway track, OHE, bridges, level crossings and signal system on Jabalpur-Rani Kamalapati railway section from Rewa-Rani Kamalapati Vande Bharat train.

Bandopadhyaya inspected the footplate of the railway section and train safety equipment and other operations related to the train along with the loco pilot and assistant loco pilot in the driver's cab of Vande Bharat train.

Under which, after getting complete information about traction, propulsion system, brake system, internal and external automatic doors, fire extinguishers and other safety related equipment, inspection was done. Along with this, under security in the train, modern technology system, CCTV cameras, emergency talk-back units, interlock doors, vehicle control computer system and electro-pneumatic brake system were checked and tested.

During the inspection, the General Manager inspected the passenger facilities and cleanliness available in Vande Bharat train. Under passenger facilities, the General Manager thoroughly inspected 180 degree rotating seats in the executive coach, on-board Wi-Fi infotainment, GPS based passenger information system, 32 inch screen for passenger entertainment, LED lighting, bio vacuum toilets, attractive interiors, Divyang friendly facilities with touch free facilities etc.

During this, he also inspected the mini pantry passenger facilities including hot case for hot food, availability of hot and cold beverages under the catering system in Vande Bharat train.

During the journey in Vande Bharat train, General Manager Bandopadhyay discussed with the passengers about the facilities, catering and cleanliness of Vande Bharat and also got feedback from the passengers.During the inspection, senior officers of the division including the Chief Engineer were present.
