A group of high school students of RVS Academy visited MGM Government Hospital on Saturday as part of an educational initiative to understand the functioning of public health care systems.
During the visit students toured various hospital departments, including the emergency ward, paediatric unit and pharmacy. They interacted with doctors and health care workers gaining insights into patient care, hospital management and challenges faced by public hospitals.
" This visit was an eye opener. It helped us to understand the importance of public health services and inspired some of us to consider careers in health care." said by Krishna Patra a student of RVS Academy
"The initiative aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical exposure fostering community awareness among youth. They realised that learning can also be done outside the classrooms and that their textbooks are not the only tool of knowledge and learning" quoted by the Vice-Principal.
The Chairman of the school ,Binda Singh Sir stated that " the trip was a unique and an educative experience which revealed to the students the need for a new kind of thinking and approach to work. This tour of students marks a new direction in the student's life and we are sure that this unique experience will take the school and the students to greater heights. Moreover RVS Academy is committed to providing holistic education and opportunities for experiential learning to its students."
