State police treats ruling party and opposition differently: Marandi

Tuesday, 27 August 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

BJP state president and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi today reacted sharply to the tweet of Ranchi Police. He said that he read the reaction of Ranchi Police. “I am shocked after reading the reaction. Ranchi Police has written that the post of Chief Minister is a high level constitutional post, all aspects of whose security are sensitive and everyone has to be firm for its maintenance,”

He said, “SSP Sir, the CM residence is two kilometers away from Morabadi Ground. BJP workers did not cross the barricading at various places and move towards the CM House. Only a symbolic demonstration took place near the barbed barricading next to Morabadi Ground. But the police released poisonous gas on the common people.”

He asked, “Where was your responsibility when people broke the security cordon of the CM and came up to the hill of the CM House. The road was blocked. If you do not remember the date, then see the order of Section 144 of 20 January and the pictures of its violation. I have mentioned only one date. BJP workers at a distance of two kilometers seem to be the ones who are endangering the security of the CM, whereas, who are those who reach the gate of CM House and block the road despite section 144? What is this relationship called?”

It is clear that the behaviour of the police is different for the workers of the ruling party and different for other people, he said.

Marandi further said, “Secondly, you have justified the police action with full responsibility. Then why don't you file a charge sheet against those 12000 people, including the 52 people named, in a day or two, whom you have made accused in the FIR?”
