Under the aegis of Tourism, Art-Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Jharkhand, the two-day Jharkhand State Level Rural and Indigenous Tribal Sports Competition 2024 was inaugurated today at Birsa Munda Football Stadium, Morhabadi.
Chief Guest of the inaugural ceremony, Sports Director, Sandeep Kumar, Special Guest, Tribal Welfare Commissioner of Jharkhand, Ajay Nath Jha, Joint Director, Raj Kishore Khakha of SAJHA, Departmental Sports Deputy Director Manish Kumar jointly lit the lamp.
On this occasion, Sandeep Kumar, District Sports Officer, West Singhbhum, Rupa Rani Tirkey, District Sports Officer, Lohardaga Upvan Bada, District Sports Officer, Ramgarh Marcus Hemrom, District Sports Officer Dhanbad Umesh Lohara and District Sports Officer, Ranchi's Shivendra Kumar were honored with symbols and robes.
In this two-day state level competition, competitions of slingshot, traditional archery, Sikhaur, Gidi race, football, hockey have been organized.
Departmental trainers Bharat Kumar Shah, Gopal Tirkey, Sunil Mahli, Anmol Toppo, Kali Charan Mahato, Angad Hansraj, Raju Sahu, Harish Kumar, Prem Purti, Akhtar Hussain, Balram, Mohan Kumar, Jolene Kerketta, Sandeep Oraon, Raymond Minj, Sudeep Kujur and many eminent trainers played an important role in the successful conduct of this competition.
