Chief Minister Champai Soren, appreciating the Budget 2024-25 presented by the state government, today said that this is the budget of people's aspirations. The state government has done the work of preparing the budget as per the trust and expectations of the public. The CM said that the state government has presented a budget of Rs 1 lakh 28 thousand 900 crore today. Our government has worked to provide relief to the farmers of the state. In the budget, loan waiver for farmers has been increased from Rs 50 thousand to Rs 2 lakh. Under this loan waiver scheme, a provision has been made to include farmers having NPA accounts also.
The Chief Minister said that under Abua Awas, a target has been set to build three-room permanent houses for 20 lakh eligible poor families. Many mega lift irrigation schemes like Patmada, Peertaad and Palamu etc. are included in the works. The CM said that age limit changes have been made in the Sarvajan Pension Scheme, the age limit for ST-SC and women has been reduced from 60 years to 50 years. As many as 2500 new Anganwadi center buildings will also be constructed.
The Chief Minister said that this is a budget that fulfills the vision of self-reliant Jharkhand. He said that many important steps have been taken for industrial development in the state. Complete facilities and better environment are being provided to the investors in the state, so that the establishment of industrial establishments can be done easily.
The Chief Minister said that a target has been set to establish 19 new colleges in the budget 2024-25. 4 women's colleges will be constructed. Medical college will be established in Ranchi. A medico city will also be established on RINPAS land. He said that in the next financial year, work will be done to connect 90 thousand families with rural women entrepreneurship.
The Chief Minister said that the Green Card has been increased by Rs 5 lakh. Now there will be a total of 25 lakh green cards. Domestic electricity consumers will be provided free electricity for 125 minutes instead of 100 units. The Chief Minister said that special provisions have been made in many sectors including education, sports, skill development, so that the youth of the state will continue to move forward.
