A two-day Safety Awareness Training Program began on November 28, 2024, at Conference Hall-4 of the Learning and Development Department, Bokaro Steel Plant. The program, scheduled for November 28–29, includes 21 officers from various plant departments as participants. Experts from M/s ASK-EHS and trained BSL officers are conducting the sessions.
The inaugural session featured Chief General Manager (Safety & Fire Services) S. Saratpe as the Chief Guest and General Manager (Learning & Development) D.R. Toppo as the Guest of Honor. Junior Manager S.K.D. Bhowmik welcomed the attendees and outlined the program's agenda.
In the opening address, Saratpe formally inaugurated the event, led the safety pledge, and highlighted the importance of safety at the plant. Participants were encouraged to apply their learning at the workplace and share it with colleagues. Toppo called for sustained efforts to enhance safety practices and awareness.
Senior team members Rakesh Kumar, Kaushalendra Pratap Singh, and Instructor Arjun Prasad Bauri contributed significantly to organizing the program. This initiative is a key step toward strengthening the safety culture within the plant.
