Replying to the Governor's address, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday said that the results for approximately 28000-29000 posts will be declared within the next eight days. He said that the current state government's tenure, spanning 9 and half years, has witnessed a significantly higher volume of recruitments compared to the previous government’s 10-year term. Under the present government's initiatives, the introduction of the Common Entrance Test (CET) streamlines the recruitment examination process for Group C and D positions. The CET aims to streamline the selection process by merit-based criteria, eliminating the necessity for interviews and promoting the selection of deserving youth.

Khattar said that the government has established Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam (HKRN) to protect the employees already employed on temporary jobs through contractors from exploitation by the contractors. This initiative aims to allocate outsourced jobs to the youth while ensuring additional benefits such as EPF and ESI.

In a jab at the opposition's portrayal of unemployment figures, Khattar thanked the opposition that they have come down from 36 percent to 9 percent. He pointed out that the opposition often cites data from CMIE (Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy), which initially showed 2.6 percent unemployment in Haryana in December 2016 but later surged to 37 percent. In October-December 2023, CMIE recorded 8.6 percent unemployment in the state. He underscored the government's initiative of issuing family identity cards, where individuals had self declared their employment status. According to this data, the unemployment rate ranges between 7.5 to 8 percent.

Khattar said that over the past nine and a half years, employment opportunities have been provided to more than 30 lakh people in the private sector. The state has witnessed a consistent rise in investment, leading to the expansion of industries and subsequently, increased job opportunities for the youth. Notably, Haryana holds the top position in per capita GST collection among major states, he added.

While highlighting the significance of the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) scheme, Khattar described it as unique and integral in ensuring public access to government schemes and services. Under PPP, citizens can update or correct their details within 30 days, ensuring efficient service delivery. Of the 84,34,961 complaints received across 22 categories, approximately 80,50,611 have been resolved. The remaining approximately 3.86 lakh complaints will be resolved soon.
