Three extremists who carried out several incidents in Chatra, Hazaribagh and Ramgarh along with TPC commander Diwakar have been arrested.

On the instructions of SSP Chandan Sinha, the police team took action and arrested the three extremists from near Chhapar river in Budhmu police station area. These include Ajit Soren, Akash Lohra and Sumit Lahri. One of the arrested extremists has a criminal history.

On Sunday, Ranchi Rural SP gave this information in a press conference.

The Rural SP said that the SSP received secret information that three-four active members of the squad of TPC commander Diwakar Ganjhu, who was involved in the fight between two parties over extortion at Chhapar sand ghat located on the border of Barkagaon, Keredari and Budhmu police station on the banks of Damodar river, have come to Chhapar village. They are planning to carry out some incident. After which the police team arrested three extremists. Several mobile phones used in demanding levy have been recovered and confiscated from them, he said.

The arrested militants told that in March 2024, they had fired in Kaylang Patra sand yard of Barkagaon police station area along with Diwakar Ganjhu to increase the dominance of the organization and collect levy.

In March 2024 itself, after meeting with the whole team in Gudukuwa forest of Barkagaon police station area, we were having food, when in the meantime, seeing the police coming, we fired on the police force and managed to escape. In a hurry, some weapons of the squad were left there, which were seized by the police.

In July 2024, firing was done to collect levy from the company engaged in road construction work between Urimari to Taraswar of Barkagaon police station and the work was stopped. Apart from this, along with squad commander Diwakar Ganjhu alias Pratap ji, many incidents have been committed in Piparwar police station area of Chatra district, Keredari, Barkagaon, Urimari police station area of Hazaribagh district and Patratu Bhurkunda etc. police station areas of Ramgarh district.
