Quality engineer of Goragaon Ayush Enterprises located in Ratibad area was held hostage and assaulted in the plant, Ratibad police have registered a case and started investigation into the matter.

The crime was committed by the project engineer and supervisor of Tulsi Tower located at Tulsi Nagar. The entire incident took place on Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday, the complainant reached Ratibad police station and lodged an FIR against both the accused. The police have taken the accused into custody. The dispute was over the supply of poor quality cement.

ASI Nand Kishore Dubey said that 30-year-old Ashish Ahirwal is originally from Damoh. Currently he lives in Goragaon Ratibad. Ayush Enterprises has a cement mixture plant in this village. Ashish works as a quality engineer in this plant.

Under his leadership, cement mixture is being prepared and supplied to the 23-storey under-construction Tulsi Tower located at number five.

Poor quality cement has been supplied here continuously for the last five days. Supervisor Pratap informed the project engineer of this site, Tungal Singh Chauhan, about the supply of poor quality goods. Then he reached Ashish's plant with the intention of talking. There was a heated argument between the two. Tungal informed the owner of the mixture plant about the matter on call.

Ashish was accused of knowingly supplying substandard mixture. Ashish wanted to put forth his side on this. Then Tungal and Pratap locked Ashish in a room in the plant. After some time he was taken out and Pratap beat him up.

After this incident, Tungal and Pratap took Ashish to Chunabhatti police station on the charge of supplying substandard cement. There he was handed over to the police.

However, the police released Ashish after interrogation. On Sunday, Ashish lodged an FIR against Tungal and Pratap in Ratibad police station for kidnapping and beating.
