Former JJP chief Nishan Singh joins Congress

Chandigarh:  Nishan Singh, who was the state president of Jannayak Janata Party on Monday, joined Congress at the party office in Chandigarh. He joined Congress along with hundreds of JJP office bearers and senior leaders. On the occasion, all leaders expressed faith in the leadership and policies of Congress, former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Haryana Congress President Chaudhary Udaibhan. Senior Congress leader Hooda assured the leaders and workers who joined the party of full respect and a rightful place in the Congress. He said public support for the party is continuously increasing. “Every day new friends are joining Congress. This is a guarantee that the coming government in Haryana will be of Congress,” he said. “But before that, there are Lok Sabha elections and all Congressmen will have to work hard at the grassroots level to form the India Alliance government in the country. By winning all 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana, Congressmen will lay the foundation of a new government in the country and the state,” he added. Rohtak Candidate and Rajya Sabha MP Deepender Singh Hooda said the continuous joining of Congress is a clear indicator of the political mood of the state. “Within the last one and a half years, 40 former MLAs, former ministers, MPs and former MPs have joined Congress. People have become disillusioned with BJP and JJP. Therefore, the India Alliance is going to win all the 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana,” he stated.

BJP candidate Rao Inderjit Singh files nomination papers from Gurugram

Gurugram: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Gurugram Rao Inderjit Singh filed his nomination papers on Monday. He was accompanied by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, former Nuh MLA and state waqf board chairman Zakir Hussain and daughter Aarti Rao.  Before submitting the affidavit, Rao Inderjit along with party leaders sought blessings from Sheetla Mata Temple and later held a public meeting at the Old Club Ground where he urged the people to vote him back to the parliament for the sixth time. The 74-year-old Ahirwal leader who in the past has not shied away from criticising the state government said that all the leaders in the BJP were united to bring back Narendra Modi back as Prime Minister again. Speaking on the occasion, Rao said the party has given him 3rd time ticket to ensure this victory with a huge margin. He urged the public to give him a chance for the next five years and promised to do more development work across the region. Speaking on the occasion, the state chief minister Nayab Singh Saini said this time too Rao Inderjit Singh will win with a huge margin because the Congress party has no candidate to challenge Inderjit's victory.
