Police seize liquor worth Rs 5 lakh

In view of Lok Sabha elections during checking Hanumanganj police liquor worth Rs 5 lakh was recovered and arrested bootleggers carrying 492 liters of liquor.

In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Bhopal City Police  have been instructed to develop an informer system to control property related crimes and illegal liquor sellers in Bhopal city and ensure 100 percent recovery.

Based on the information and arrested the accused illegal English liquor smuggler and 492 liters of liquor. We have succeeded in recovering cash worth Rs 5,00,000 from a loading auto.

Based on the information on March 29 a red colored loading auto rickshaw bearing registration number MP04LD7542 was going from Chhola Road towards Nadra Bus Stand carrying a huge quantity of liquor.

On receiving the information, the staff surrounded and caught the driver who was identified as Deepak Sahu (29) of Ashoka Garden from whose possession 20 boxes of English liquor of Bagpiper Company and 40 boxes of beer of Bolt Company, a total of 492 liters of liquor worth about Rs 2 lakh and loading auto number MP04LD7542 were seized and the accused was arrested and committed the crime. A case under section 34(2) of the Excise Act.

Success has been achieved in seizing 312 liters of beer and 180 liters of liquor, a total of 492 liters of liquor and loading auto number MP04LD7542, a total of Rs 5,00,000 from the possession of the accused.
