The Postgraduate Department of Commerce at Karim City College, Jamshedpur, organized a one-day departmental seminar focused on finance and marketing for M.Com Semester-4 students on Thursday. The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 60 students, who presented papers on six significant sub-themes, including "The Role of NABARD in the Indian Economy," "A Study of Diversification Strategy of Business Growth," "The Impact of Derivative Hedging Strategies on Fund Management Performance," "An Analysis of Working Capital Management," "The Impact of Sales Promotion on the Marketing of New Products and Services," and "A Comparative Study of ULIP Plans and Traditional Funds."
The seminar was presided over by Dr. Mohammad Reyaz, the esteemed Principal of Karim City College. Dr. Reyaz delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the importance of hard work and dedication in achieving success. He urged the students to devote 6 to 8 hours daily to their studies and encouraged them to pursue JRF and NET qualifications, which are essential for securing Assistant Professor positions. Dr. Reyaz also commended the PG Department of Commerce for selecting such relevant topics for the seminar, noting their importance in the current economic landscape.
Dr. Md. Moazzam Nazri, Head of the PG Department of Commerce, also addressed the students, elaborating on the seminar's objectives and highlighting the crucial role of NABARD in promoting sustainable agricultural and rural development in India. He encouraged the students to explore these topics deeply, as they have a direct impact on the nation's economy.
