Government Naveen Girls' Higher Secondary School lifted the Mayor's Trophy at the Inter-School Kho-Kho Competition, organised by the Municipal Corporation at Subhash Excellence School on Wednesday.
The event was inaugurated by Sports Minister Vishvas Sarang, while Mayor Malti Rai presented the trophy to the winning team at the conclusion of the competition.
Alongside the victorious team, prizes were also awarded to players who displayed the best individual performances. Sanjana Uike was adjudged the best all-rounder, while Roshni Pal and Saniya were recognised for their attack and defence, respectively.
Addressing the students, Mayor Rai emphasised that the competition aimed to encourage girls and develop their sporting skills, aligning with the Municipal Corporation's broader focus on empowering women and expanding beyond basic services.BMC Chairman Kishan Suryavanshi highlighted the corporation’s commitment to promoting sports.
