The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Sagar Institute of Science and Technology (SISTec) has organised a 36-hour national-level hackathon 'Samadhan 1.0' at its Gandhi Nagar Campus. 'Samadhan 1.0' hackathon was organised in collaboration with the multinational software company Marktine Software Sol. Pvt. Ltd.
The hackathon was inaugurated by Professor Suresh Kumar Jain, Vice-Chancellor Barkatullah University along with Alok Sharma, Co-founder and Director of Marktine Software Sol. Pvt. Ltd., Prashant Richaria, Vice President Marktine Software Sol. Pvt. Ltd in the presence of Sudhir Kumar Agrwal Founder and Chairman Sagar Group, Siddharth Agrawal Managing Director Sagar Group, Dr Jyoti Deshmukh, Group Director SISTec, Dr Aditi Lunawat Director of Development SISTec and Dr D K Rajoria Principal SISTec.
The 'Samadhan 1.0' Hackathon witnessed the presence of 90 teams comprising 360 participants across the country. The teams will be working on innovating using AI-powered solutions to develop AI chatbots.
In the next 36 hours, teams will compete to address the challenges in diverse fields - finance, healthcare, education, smart cities, automation and banking. The hackathon will conclude on November 23, 2024. The top three teams will be selected based on problem understanding, innovation and creativity, technical execution, user experience, impact of solutions, presentation and communication skills, collaboration and teamwork.
Representatives from Marketing Software Company and the Calm Chase community, and Mr. Shankara Reddy Thamma, DC Technical Delivery Master II, Deloitte Consulting LLP, will evaluate the participants and will guide on the originality, quality of work and ability to solve real-world problems followed by an award ceremony with prizes upto Rs 75000 to honour the winning teams. Amit Mishra Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering SISTec co-ordinated the Hackathon.
Speaking on the occasion, Suresh Kumar Jain, said "The importance of balancing technological advancements with human intellect, stating that platforms like Samadhan 1.0 foster innovation and learning".
Guiding the budding technocrats Alok Sharma said, "The significance of emerging technologies like blockchain, AI, data analytics and adding that Samadhan 1.0 hackathon serve as a launchpad for fresh talent which companies like Marktine eagerly seek." Thanking the guests, Chairman Sudhir Kumar Agrawal in his speech directed students to utilise the platforms to their advantage.
