Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij on Wednesday said that the State Government has handed over the murder case of INLD leader Nafe Singh Rathee to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Earlier during the budget session, Vij had assured the Vidhan Sabha that this murder case would be handed over to the CBI.
Talking to media persons, Vij further said that in this case, Haryana Police has taken prompt action and arrested two persons.
Rathee was fatally shot by unidentified assailants on February 25 near a railway crossing in Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar. The Jhajjar police, on March 2, had announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for providing information about the accused involved in the murder of Rathee. Jhajjar police had recently arrested two persons named Saurabh and Ashish from Goa, who were allegedly involved in this murder case. These accused are suspected to be associated with notorious gangster Kapil Sangwan who is believed to be in the UK.
In response to questions asked about the case of vomiting blood after eating mouth freshener in Gurugram, he said that relevant officials have been directed to investigate the matter thoroughly to determine what was found, where it was found, and where it was sourced from. He said that the case will be investigated, samples have been collected, and action will be taken after the report is received.
