A grand festival and prize distribution ceremony will mark the conclusion of the 92nd Founder’s Week celebrations of Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad, scheduled for Tuesday (December 10) at the Maharana Pratap Inter College grounds.
The event will be presided over by Gorakshapeethadhishwar and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, with Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, founder of Bachpan Bachao Andolan, as the chief guest.
The highlight of the ceremony will be the recognition of excellence across various sectors within the institution, including teachers, employees, and students.
A total of 800 students will be honoured with trophies, medals, and cash prizes for their exceptional performances in competitions held throughout the week. The event will begin at 9:30 am.
The Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad, established in 1932 by Brahmalin Gorakshapeethadhishwar Mahant Digvijaynath to promote educational renaissance in eastern Uttar Pradesh, launched its 92nd Founder’s Week on December 4.
The inaugural event, chaired by CM Yogi, featured Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar as the chief guest.
The celebrations, which included a variety of competitions and programmes, will conclude with an award ceremony recognising the most outstanding performers.
During the closing ceremony, the MP Kanya Inter College in Ramdattpur will receive the prestigious Mahayogi Shri Gorakshanath Gold Medal for Best Institution.
Other awardees include Brijanand from MP Inter College (Civil Lines), selected for the Brahmalin Mahant Gopalnath Gold Medal for Best Attendant; Brijesh Vishwakarma from DVNPG College, selected for the Yogiraj Baba Brahmanath Gold Medal for Best Employee; and Dr Sumit Kumar from Guru Gorakshanath Institute of Medical Sciences, selected for the Baba Gambhirnath Gold Medal for Best Teacher.
The Brahmalin Mahant Digvijaynath Gold Medal for the best postgraduate student will be awarded to Sagar Chaudhary of DVNPG College.
Nimish Singh of MPPG College Jungle Dhusar will receive the Brahmalin Mahant Avaidyanath Gold Medal for the best undergraduate student.
Gauri Gaur of MP Balika Inter College, Civil Lines, will be presented with the Maharana Mewar Gold Medal for the best High School/Intermediate student.
In addition, 12 meritorious students will be honoured with memorial awards, including cash prizes in memory of various notable personalities.
Nine students with exceptional achievements in boards and university examinations will also be granted special scholarships.
A key highlight of the Founder’s Week programme will be the release of Shipra Singh’s book, Indian Concept of Education.
Shipra Singh, head of the department of Education at MPPG College Jungle, Dhusar, authored the book, which delves into the rich tradition of Indian knowledge systems and offers an analytical perspective on ancient teaching methodologies. The release will be conducted by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi.
