Lohardaga Lok Sabha MP Sukhdev Bhagat demanded the construction of a new railway line in Gumla district under Lohardaga Lok Sabha constituency from Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Wednesday. Bhagat said in the Parliament that despite 75 years of independence, a railway line has not been built in Gumla district, whereas religiously different religions are widely recognized in Gumla district.
Here is Anjan Dham, the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. The religious place of Sarna tribals is Sira-Sita Nala. The famous temple of Lord Shiva is Tanginath as well as the birth place of Paramveer Chakra winner Lines Naik Albert Ekka of entire North-East India. There is a railway line in Lohardaga which is 75 kilometers away from Gumla.
A survey has also been done to build a new railway line from Lohardaga to Korba via Gumla. Due to the absence of a railway line in Gumla, the people of this area have to face a lot of problems in transportation. MP Bhagat, through the Chairman of the Parliament, which is the highest Panchayat of the country, demanded the Finance Minister and Railway Minister to start the work of a new railway line from Lohardaga Gumla to Korba in this financial year.
