A major administrative reshuffle has taken place in Jharkhand before the assembly elections. More than two dozen IAS officers of Jharkhand have been transferred on the instructions of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Chief Minister's Secretary Arwa Rajkamal is also included in this. After the transfer, he has been appointed to the post of Building Secretary Jharkhand. Along with his duties, he will also take charge of Managing Director Jharkhand State Building Construction Corporation and Local Commissioner Jharkhand Bhawan.
Dr. Nitin Madan Kulkarni posted in Raj Bhavan has been made the Principal Secretary of the Agriculture Department. Along with this, Principal Secretary Mastram Meena has been given the responsibility of Principal Secretary of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department in addition to his duties.
Principal Secretary of Road Construction Department Sunil Kumar has been given responsibility between Urban Development and Housing Department in addition to his duties.
Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Department Secretary Amitabh Kaushal has been removed and made Secretary of Information Technology Department.
He will also have the charge of Commercial Tax Secretary till further orders. Building Construction Secretary Manish Ranjan has been appointed Director of Shri Krishna Public Administration Institute.
Drinking Water and Sanitation Department Secretary Rajesh Sharma has been appointed Secretary of Disaster Management Department. The Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Official Language has issued a notification related to this.
