The winter season has arrived in Ranchi as the minimum temperature has been hovering around 12.4 degrees Celsius this week.
As per the Meteorological Centre, Ranchi, a change in the weather pattern is expected from November 26 onwards as the minimum temperature is likely to drop by one to two degree Celsius. It is also being predicted that the nighttime temperature will touch 10 degree Celsius in the southern and central parts of the State.
“A low pressure system is expected to form in southeast Bay of Bengal from November 23. Due to this from November 24 parts of south and central Jharkhand including the State capital and its adjoining areas will witness partly cloudy skies for the next two to three days. The cloud cover will prevent a drop in the minimum temperature levels. However, from November 26 onwards, once the impact of this system is over, there will be a drop in the minimum temperature levels,” said Director MET Centre, Ranchi Abhishek Anand.
The MET Centre, Ranchi, also informed that light to moderate fog will also be experienced in the early morning hours while no significant change in the daytime temperature is expected. There is also no forecast of rain and thunderstorm in the State.
