Aishbagh police have booked a man for sexually exploiting a 27-year-old girl in the name of marriage.
The victim hails from Harda and was in love with a young man living in her village. Ten years ago, both came to Bhopal to study. Here, they came close and the accused proposed the victim of marriage.
Later, the accused raped the girl in the victim's rented room in Aishbagh area by luring her with marriage. The police have registered a case and started searching for the accused.
According to the information received from Aishbagh police, the 27-year-old girl is originally from a village in Harda district. About ten years ago, she became friends with a young man named Adarsh Shukla living in the same area. Soon this friendship turned into love. Nine years ago, both came to Bhopal to study. The young man started studying BAMS here. During this time, the young man started sexually exploiting the girl by luring her with marriage.
About seven years ago, in the year 2022, he distanced himself from the girl. When the girl pressured him to marry her, the boy refused to marry her. When he did not agree even after repeated persuasion, the girl complained about the matter to the Aishbagh police station. After registering a case of rape, the police have started searching for the accused.
Meanwhile a young man committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling in Shahpura.
A month ago, after a dispute, his wife went to her maternal home. Since then, the man was in depression.
