Sharma said that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 9 National Highway projects of 226 km worth Rs 2,367 crore at the Veterinary Ground in Jabalpur on Tuesday.
He said that Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has approved the construction of a high level bridge on Jamni river on Tikamgarh-Jhansi road costing Rs 43 crore, two lane road upgradation work from Chandia Ghat to Katni Bypass, Bamitha.
Four-lane widening work of Khajuraho road has been inaugurated. These projects will promote agriculture and trade of wheat and paddy in Mahakoshal region.
Sharma expressed his gratitude to Union Road Transport Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari for laying the foundation stone of 15 National Highway projects 498 kilometers long costing Rs 8038 crore in a program organized at Lal Parade Ground in the capital.
He said that these projects will not only develop transportation facilities in the state capital and surrounding areas, but will also improve the road connectivity of Madhya Pradesh with Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
Union Minister Gadkari has laid the foundation stone include 6-lane widening of Ayodhya Bypass section of NH-46, 4-lane widening of Shahganj to Bari section of NH-146B, NH-552 ( Construction of 2-lane (with paved shoulder) road of Sheopur-Goras from Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan border, NH-752 C. Construction of 2-lane (with paved shoulder) road of Shujalpur bypass on NH-552 (Extended). Construction of 2-lane road (with paved shoulder) of Ater and Bhind bypass, construction of 2-lane road (with paved shoulder) of Goras to Shyampur road of NH-552 (extended), Dahod (Gujarat border) of NH-56. ) to Ambua section and 2-lane (with paved shoulder) road construction from NH-347A Multai to Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra border. On completion of these projects, the people of the capital Bhopal will get relief from the increasing traffic pressure, while road facilities will expand in other parts of the state. This will definitely start a new chapter in the development of the state and industry and trade will develop.
Sharma said that the Parbati-Kalisindh-Chambal link project between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan was pending for the last 20 years. But the tripartite agreement signed between Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and the Union Jal Shakti Ministry on Sunday has once again proved that Modi's guarantee is a guarantee of fulfillment of every guarantee.
He said that with this agreement, apart from Rajasthan, about 1.5 crore people of 13 districts of Chambal and Malwa of Madhya Pradesh will easily get water and about three lakh hectares of land in the state will be irrigated.
This project will increase the availability of water in Morena, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna, Bhind and Sheopur of Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh and will further promote the industrialization of Indore, Ujjain, Dhar, Agar-Malwa, Shajapur, Dewas and Rajgarh districts of Malwa's industrial belt.
