The 25th CISCE Regional Swimming Championship 2024, hosted by Loyola School, kicked off with great enthusiasm at the JRD Sports Complex. The event saw participation from 18 schools across Bihar and Jharkhand, all affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE). The championship was graced by Priti Sinha, Principal of Gulmohur High School and ASISC Zonal Coordinator, who served as the Chief Guest.
The day began on a spiritual note with a heartfelt prayer, setting the tone for the competitions ahead. Following this, Fr. Vinod Fernandes, Principal of Loyola School, welcomed and felicitated the Chief Guest. The CISCE flag was then ceremonially unfurled, officially marking the opening of the championship. All participants took the oath of sportsmanship, committing to fair play and integrity throughout the event.
The swimming competition featured a series of electrifying and intense performances, with participants showcasing remarkable skill and sportsmanship. The events were categorized into Sub Junior, Junior, and Senior divisions, each for boys and girls. After a series of thrilling races, Carmel Junior College emerged as the overall champion of the tournament.
As the event concluded, the CISCE flag was respectfully lowered. Fr. Principal Vinod Fernandes expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the dignitaries, participants, and officials for their efforts in making the championship a resounding success. The 25th edition of the CISCE Regional Swimming Championship not only highlighted the competitive spirit of young swimmers but also fostered a sense of unity and sportsmanship among the participants.
