Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Monday celebrated Rakshabandhan at Raj Niwas with children from different schools across the national Capital and gave them symbolic gifts on the occasion.
Sharing the pictures from the occasion celebrated in the LG Secretariat, Saxena wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Celebrated Rakshabandhan with children at Raj Niwas today. Even as I blessed the kids after getting Rakhi tied, it was me who felt blessed. Many congratulations for Rakshabandhan to everyone!”
A statement by the Raj Niwas stated, “The Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena today celebrated Rakshabandhan with children from different schools of the Capital. After getting Rakhi tied by the children, Shri Saxena told them and the accompanying teachers that they were now a part of his family and he would do whatever possible to ensure their happiness and wellness.”
It added that Saxena underlined that this special occasion had made him reaffirm his commitment to support every child in Delhi.
