The first day of the Jharkhand Combined Graduate Level Examination 2023 (JSSC-CGL), organized by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission, concluded on Saturday with successful arrangements ensuring an orderly environment. The district administration had meticulously prepared for the exam, with a total of 64 centers established across the Chas and Bermo sub-divisions. Out of 29,700 registered candidates, 10,075 appeared in the first and second sessions, while 19,625 were absent. Similarly, 10,074 candidates participated in the third session, and 19,625 were absent.
Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav shared these details during a press conference held at the Collectorate on Saturday evening after the day's exams were completed.
Notably DC Vijaya Jadhav, along DDC Girja Shankar Prasad and Additional Collector M. Mumtaz Ansari, conducted unannounced inspections of several examination centers, including St. Xavier's School, Ayyappa School, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, and GGPS Sector 05. They also reviewed the operations of the Control Room set up at the district headquarters to monitor the exam. Nodal Officer and Additional Municipal Commissioner Anant Kumar oversaw operations across all exam centers.
Further DC ensured the timely delivery of question paper boxes to all exam centers from the district treasury, under the supervision of patrolling magistrates and police officers. Following the guidelines of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission, exam center gates were opened as scheduled, and candidates were able to enter the halls in an orderly manner after registering their biometric attendance. Jammers were installed at all centers to ensure a smooth examination process.
DC Jadhav praised the efforts of center superintendents, law enforcement personnel, officers, magistrates, senior officials, and invigilators for ensuring the exam was conducted successfully. She also expressed confidence that the second day of the exam on Sunday would proceed smoothly.
