Man's hand saved from amputation
Paras Hospital Dhurva saved the hand of a 50-year-old man from Giridih from amputation. The man was shot near the shoulder. When the man reached Paras Hospital, it was too late. Despite this, due to the tireless efforts of Paras Hospital's plastic surgeon Dr Vivek Goswami and his team, the patient's hand was saved from amputation. This kind of case is very rare, where there is no need to amputate the hand after the delay. The patient was given a new life and courage by operating on him. Now the patient has been discharged. Currently, the patient is being treated under the supervision of Dr Vivek Goswami. He said that when the patient came to us, his hand was completely damaged. “Due to the bullet injury, the hand and muscles were also badly torn. There was no blood circulation. The patient had asked three big corporate hospitals of Ranchi to amputate his hand. After this, the patient contacted Paras Hospital after about 13 hours, where his surgery was done successfully. The operation lasted for about six hours. All the veins were joined in the operation. Blood veins were also joined,” he added.
