RESHUFFLE: BIJAY DASH CMC COMMISSIONER
Bhubaneswar: In a bureaucratic reshuffle on Wednesday, the Odisha Government appointed Puri Collector Bijay Kumar Dash as the Commissioner of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC). Similarly, current CMC Commissioner Siddharth Shankar Swain was posted as the Puri Collector. Mayurbhanj Collector Ashish Thakare was given the charge of Baleswar Collector while Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde, the present Collector of Baleswar, was appointed as the Collector of Mayurbhanj district.
SURENDRA SAI DEATH ANNIV HELD AT VSS NAGAR
Bhubaneswar: The Veer Surendra Sai Nagar Unnayan Parishad on Wednesday paid floral tributes to the statue of noted freedom fighter Veer Surendra Sai on his death anniversary. At the function held at VSS Nagar, VSS Nagar Unnayan Parishad general secretary Dillip Dashsharma presided. Utkal Sammilani State president Ananta Prasad Jena and local Corporator Prabhisini Mohanty spoke about the contribution of Surendra Sai in the freedom movement. Parishad vice-president Prof Jayant Kumar Parida, treasurer Maheshwar Biswal, Nimai Charan Das and Sital Chandra Mohanty also recalled the contributions of the eminent freedom fighter.
