Heavy rains have started once again in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday. Mandla, Bhind and Sheopur received heavy rains.
Water entered the houses in Bichpuri village of Sheopur. SDM VS Srivastava has shifted the villagers to school and hostel. At the same time, due to heavy rain for 30 minutes in Lahar of Bhind, the drains overflowed. Here the markets were flooded with water up to one and a half feet.
Light rain has been witnessed in Bhopal, Gwalior and Mandsaur. Light rain with thunder and lightning will also occur in other districts of the state including Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur. IMD Bhopal scientist Pramod Kumar said that thunder and drizzle is expected in the state on August 12, 13 and 14. Strong activity of the system can be seen after August 14.
After the monsoon became active in the state (21 June), 70% of the season's rain has occurred in 51 days. Up to 80% of the season's water has fallen in 11 districts including Bhopal and Jabalpur. Mandla has received the highest rainfall of 40 inches.
One sluice gate of Kerwa Dam in Bhopal opened on Saturday. There are a total of 8 gates here.
Many districts of the state received rain on Saturday. Half an inch of rain was recorded in Betul. It also rained in Satna, Sidhi, Bhopal, Dhar, Guna, Gwalior, Narmadapuram, Indore, Khandwa, Pachmarhi, Raisen, Ratlam and Ujjain.
