Niti Cardiac Care initiative to conduct tests of heart patients at low rates received tremendous response. In these camps, approximately 550 people got their heart checked, out of which approximately 100 people were diagnosed with heart problems. This facility of tests at low rates was made available in Niti Cardiac Care of Muzaffarpur and Saharsa. In the camps, along with lipid profile, ECG, Echo or TMT, medical advice was also given. Tests that usually cost Rs 4000-5000 were made available in these camps for only Rs 1499. Dr. Girija Shankar Jha, Senior Cardiologist, Ninti Cardiac Care said, "Being diagnosed with heart disease can be a matter of concern for anyone, but it can be controlled with proper care and timely treatment. People who have been diagnosed with heart disease need to improve their lifestyle. One should try to do regular exercise, healthy diet, and reduce stress. Usually, due to expensive tests, people keep postponing heart problems and due to too much delay, this problem becomes bigger.
