Bokaro: As part of the ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada, a health check-up camp was organized on September 28 for sanitation workers employed at the Bokaro Steel Plant. The camp was held at two locations: the Bokaro General Hospital (BGH) and the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Center at the plant’s medical unit.
At Bokaro General Hospital, under the leadership of Dr. B.B. Karunamay, the Head of BGH, a team of senior doctors conducted health check-ups for 127 sanitation workers. Meanwhile, at the OHS Center (Plant Medical), the camp was inaugurated by Shaligram Singh, Chief General Manager (CED). A team led by Dr. R. Kumar, along with Dr. Manish Kumar, audiologist Sudhir Bhanu, junior manager Sapna Upadhyay, OT assistant Surendra Sharma, and lab technicians Dinesh Kumar, Sumit Kumar, and Mahipal Chaudhary, conducted check-ups for an additional 43 sanitation workers.
In total, 170 sanitation workers received medical evaluations as part of the initiative, promoting health and well-being among the workforce involved in maintaining cleanliness across the plant premises.
